Childhelp exists to meet the physical, emotional, educational, and spiritual needs of abused, neglected, and at-risk children through advocacy, intervention, treatment, prevention, family resilience, and community outreach. Childhelp Speak Up Be Safe (CH SUBS) Prevention Education Curriculum helps children and teens learn the skills to identify, prevent and interrupt all forms of child abuse: physical abuse, emotional abuse, and sexual abuse, as well as neglect, bullying, cyberbullying, and internet safety. This developmentally appropriate program is evidence-based from Pre-K through grade 12, and a human trafficking prevention module has been added for 6th through 12th grades. CH SUBS is linked to the Childhelp National Child Abuse Hotline to support youth, parents, and other concerned adults through call, text, and chat services. The hotline is staffed by professional counselors who can provide information, education, connection to local resources, and emotional support. It is available 24/7. The Courage First Athlete Helpline, serviced by Childhelp, is a new resource for young athletes impacted by, or concerned about, abuse in sports.
