What makes child molesters think and act the way they do? For many, the answers to these questions are unimaginable but for investigators and safeguarding professionals involved in child protection those answers are critical to the assessment of risk and defensible decision making. This presentation aims to dispel the common myths that surround men who sexually abuse children. The speaker will use a conceptual model together with video of perpetrators speaking candidly about offending.
