This presentation will address the increasing threat posed by extremist groups in the child exploitation space. Particular attention will be paid to Satanic and left-hand path occultist groups such as the Order of Nine Angles (O9A), which views the rape of women as an effective way to undermine society, and which advocates for the sexual assault and torture of minors.

Learning Objectives:

  • Participants will be introduced to the ways in which extremist groups are exploiting children online
  • Participants will be able to identify the ways extremist groups have taken advantage of the COVID pandemic to fund extremism through child exploitation.
  • Participants will learn about the motivations for extremist groups to participate in child exploitation, and identify interventions to reduce the threats posed by these groups
