Trauma-informed care is grounded in understanding and responding to the impacts of trauma focusing on helping survivors rebuild a sense of control and empowerment. As legal professionals who work with trauma-impacted individuals on a regular basis, we must equip ourselves with the necessary understanding to implement this service-based approach into our case management, victim advocacy, and litigation style. This presentation will offer practical tools for legal professionals to reduce the risk of re-traumatizing their clients.
