This presentation will discuss adapting Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy in a children's advocacy center (CAC) setting. EMDR meets the standards for Trauma-Informed care as prescribed by the National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN). This presentation will highlight adjustments clinicians might adopt when using this treatment modality with children, adolescents, and their support caregiver using a case study. This presentation will emphasize how consultation with peers can aid the pivot to this treatment modality in a CAC setting. Also, this presentation will address concerns for prosecution teams regarding trial.
