Long-term missing and unidentified child/person cases are difficult and challenging to investigate. To be successful it is important to understand how to prioritize and differentiate these types of cases from other cold cases and how to apply recent technology and techniques. In this workshop best practices for investigating long-term missing and unidentified cases will be provided, emphasizing strategies in reigniting old cases and also moving forward in no-body homicide prosecutions. These principles will be illustrated through several actual case studies.
