In this workshop the presenter will examine a series of cases he conducted during his time as an ICAC investigator. He will discuss the growing globalization and transnational nature of child exploitation, along with the need for increased awareness of, and reliance on, investigative techniques that can cross jurisdictional lines. Lastly, the presenter will present both domestic and international cases, some that were successes and some that were failures. He will also recommend methods of both networking and streamlining for improving attendee's future investigations.
Learning Objectives:
Investigate examples of interstate and international investigations highlighting the importance of interagency cooperation
Discuss positive and negative outcomes and present suggestions for successful future results
Recommend some best practices for both networking and completing inter-jurisdictional investigations.
