The 2015 Justice for Victims of Trafficking Act gave the U.S. Marshals Service enhanced authority to assist state, local, and tribal law enforcement with missing child cases. The USMS missing child mission primarily focuses on missing juveniles that are at an elevated risk for human trafficking, physical abuse, sexual abuse, or risk of harm due to mental health or medical concerns. This presentation will focus on how to request assistance, the resources the USMS can provide, and will include examples cases that have resulted in successful recoveries.
