This workshop is presented by mental health providers at the Dallas Children's Advocacy Center involved in the PSB-CBT(Problematic Sexual Behavior-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) program. The components of the presentation will include a description of sexual development, a discussion about normative and concerning sexual behaviors, and the contributing factors leading to problematic sexual behavior in children. The presentation also includes an ecological approach to understanding the impact of problematic sexual behavior. Research studies regarding the outcomes of PSB-CBT treatment will be presented. Lastly, in order to promote the healing of families impacted by PSB, DCAC's approach to PSB-CBT treatment will be discussed.
