Jim Sears has been a law enforcement officer for over thirty-seven years working with the Irving Police Department. He has worked as a detective in the Domestic Violence/Child Abuse Unit for ten years before being promoted to Sergeant. Jim is the coordinator for the National Criminal Justice Training Center's national training project for Conducting Unexplained Child Death investigations. Jim frequently lectures on topics related to child abuse investigations, interview and interrogation, and crime scene investigations centered on domestic violence and child abuse cases. He has recently returned to law enforcement work for the Richland Hills Police Department outside of FT. Worth as their Lead Detective.
