Austin Police Department
Darrel Lambert is a detective with the Austin Police Department, currently assigned to the Child Abuse Unit. He has been an officer for sixteen years. For the past five years he has been a detective. He has led investigations into robberies, aggravated assaults, and all types of incidents involving the physical and sexual abuse of children. Darrel has conducted over 150 suspect interviews and spent over 300 hours in the interview room. He has trained detectives from many other departments in interview and interrogation techniques including at the Crimes Against Children Conference in 2022. Darrel has a bachelor's degree from Wesleyan University.
