Dan Powers is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Sex Offender Treatment Provider who currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer for Children's Advocacy Center of Collin County in Plano/McKinney, Texas. He oversees all professional services offered to victims of child abuse as well as their non-offending family members. He also directs the CAC’s community education and prevention efforts. Dan has over thirty years of experience working in the field of child abuse, sex offenders, and family violence. He is the past chairman of the Texas Children’s Justice Act Task Force and is currently a member of the Texas Statewide Multidisciplinary Task Force. Dan is a nationally recognized expert and speaker on multidisciplinary response to child abuse.
