Dr. Janet Rosenzweig has worked in the field of child sexual abuse since 1979, when she was recruited as a sexuality educator to join one of the first child sexual abuse projects in the US. Her career has spanned public service, academia, and the nonprofit sector, all focused on strengthening systems that protect children and support families and keeping a focus on sexual health and safety.
She is the author of The Sex-Wise Parent, newly released in its 2026 edition and widely used by professionals seeking to enhance family-centered prevention and education. Rosenzweig serves on the Board of the National Coalition to Prevent Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation, on faculty of the Fels Institute of Government, University of Pennsylvania and serves as a Senior Policy Analyst for The Institute for Human Services where she leads the research team on juveniles on sex offender registries.
