Jim Tanner

Jim Tanner has been a justice system professional since 1970. His applied experience includes operating secure detention facilities, halfway houses for juveniles and adults, day reporting centers, probation/parole services, intensive treatment programs, and computer forensics. He is a nationally recognized authority on sex offender management and sex offenders in a digital world. He is sworn staff and currently serves as the Cyber Crime Analyst for the Probation Department of the Twentieth Judicial District of Colorado. The American Probation and Parole Association named Jim as the 2017 recipient of the University of Cincinnati Award in Corrections, recognizing his lifetime contributions to the field of Corrections in the United States and Canada. Dr. Tanner presents to national and international audiences of "alphabet agencies" on a regular basis.
