Coalition for Responsible Home Education
Jonah Stewart is an education researcher whose work lies at the intersection of advocacy, data analysis, and critical pedagogy. They hold a BA in Classical Languages from Duke University (summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa), and are a final year PhD candidate at the University of Oxford in the Department of Education, where they are a Rhodes scholar. Jonah’s research explores the philosophical and ethical underpinnings of education equity initiatives among U.K. universities, paying particular attention to how practitioners navigate working within (and sometimes against) the institutions they’re attempting to change. Jonah was homeschooled K-8, and is dedicated to advocating for child-centered policies and practices that make homeschooling not only educationally sufficient, but fulfilling.
