Tony Newsom is the Community Outreach Officer for Dallas Police Department’s ICAC Squad and is responsible for the development of the department’s Sex Offender Awareness and ICAC Squad presentations and training blocks. Additionally, he is the Sex Offender Awareness Liaison between DPD, Dallas Independent School District, and DPD’s Youth Outreach Unit. Tony has extensive experience responding to a variety of cases including sexual assaults of children, indecency, CSAM, and internet crimes against children. During his tenure with ICAC he has attended numerous advanced training courses and is a Certified Police Instructor. He has conducted over 3500 training and outreach presentations to nearly 150,000 attendees covering sex offender awareness, sexting, internet safety tips, online predators, cyber bullying, internet gaming, and the dangers of social media.
