Karen Holt received her Bachelor of Science degree in Forensic Psychology from DeSales University. Her graduate work was completed at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, where she earned two masters degrees, one in Forensic Psychology and one in Criminal Justice, and earned her doctoral degree in Criminal Justice. Karen's research focuses on sexual deviance and sexual offending. She consults for the Cold Case Foundation and for the Michigan State Police First District Cold Case Unit. She is a board member of the Michigan Chapter of the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers and Small Talk Children’s Advocacy Center. Dr. Holt works on the Sexual Assault Kit Initiative in Michigan to develop offender-focused investigations and generate knowledge on sexual offending.
