This workshop will explore component-based interventions for the treatment of victims of childhood sexual abuse (CSA). Research and literature pertaining to the dynamics of CSA will be reviewed. The use of trauma-informed interventions founded on evidence-based treatments will be discussed. This will include core components of evidence-based treatments as defined by the National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN) and elements of the Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy protocol (TF-CBT). An emphasis will be placed on providing interventions for use across modalities including individual, family, dyadic, and group therapy. Lecture, group discussion, and case examples will provide participants with a comprehensive learning experience. This workshop combines research, best practices, and clinical practice.
