Michael Weber has thirty-eight years experience as a police officer, including fifteen years as a crimes against children investigator. He has investigated over fifty reports of Medical Child Abuse, leading to fourteen prosecutions for child abuse (ten guilty pleads, four pending trial). Mike is co-author of the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children’s peer-reviewed best practice guidelines for medical child abuse (Munchausen by Proxy: Clinical and Case Management Guidance) and authored the peer-reviewed article “Investigating Medical Child Abuse” for the FBI Law Enforcement Bulletin Journal. He was a collaborator for the podcast “Nobody Should Believe Me,” which thoroughly examines the topic of medical child abuse. In 2016, he received the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children’s Texas Hero for Children Award.
